The eagerly awaited fifth annual Same Same But Different Festival (SSBD) is happening this week and we couldn’t be more excited to be back. Boasting its most stacked lineup to date and taking place against the breathtaking backdrop of the Lake Perris Shoreline in California, we’re more than ready to run the four-day adventure from September 28 to October 1, 2023. The festival’s remarkable lineup has us in awe of its diverse spectrum of music from electronic to hip hop, indie rock, & more featuring standout artists from every corner of the scene.
We’re most excited to see headlining performances by the likes of GRiZ, Louis The Child, Big Wild, and the entrancing Polo & Pan. Sharing the spotlight will be a roster of incredible artists including Hippie Sabotage, What So Not, Bijou, Blu DeTiger, BoomBox, EAZYBAKED, Flamingosis, Maddy O’Neal, Mija, and Weiss. Just as stacked is the undercard where you will discover some expertly curated and lesser discovered talent including Boostive, SoDown, Mitchum Yacoub (Soundsystem), Paper Idol, Cam Steen, Chucky Motion, & many more.
One of our favorite things about this festival is how few conflicts there tend to be. Because of the nature of SSBD, there’s usually only a few of the stages being ran at a time with the festival’s audience migrating together from act to act. Everything from the art installations to the many vendors you’ll find sprinkled throughout the grounds will leave festivalgoers captivated and constantly discovering.
