by Ace Aura is one of those artists that embodies the “hard work pays off” mantra. The Dallas-based producer’s first track on SoundCloud dates back to 2013, and as the years passed, the colourful nature of his sound has not changed much, but his technical abilities have continued to improve with each and every body of work. Slowly, label releases started becoming a regular thing for Ace Aura, with tracks on Rushdown, Odio, and Circus starting to line his discography. It’s only been up for the artist, too, as he is now set to make his debut on Never Say Die with the colossal four-track Gem World EP, and we have the extreme pleasure of premiering the title track from the collection today.
A common theme in Ace Aura’s sound is euphoria and elation, and ‘Gem World’ is no exception. ‘Gem World’ is dubstep that’s fun, lively and uplifting. The introduction sets the tone perfectly for the rest of the track, as wind chimes and mystical effects paint an intriguing soundscape as more layers are gradually added to up the intensity. A switch in sound at the fifty-five-second mark hints at the more hyperactive sections that follow, before the drop hits soon after. Ace Aura transports listeners to his scintillating ‘Gem World’ through a meticulous attention to detail, with every new bar bringing a further sense of exhilaration. With tastes of hardstyle and additional contortion of beautiful sounds in the latter half, ‘Gem World’ is Ace Aura at his best. Don’t miss it below.
