by SoDown and Bass Physics reunite after 10 months of the release of ‘Pull The Trigger’ for a heater of a track, ‘Tension’—out now via the former’s label, GetDown Records. The beatmakers use the song as a moment to give commentary on everything going on in the world right now.
Following up on our last collaboration ‘Pull the Trigger,’ we wanted to create another hard hitting bass tune that encompassed both of our unique styles, including heavy bass, saxophone, guitar and hip hop. ‘Tension’ reflects on the current state of the world with social media, climate change, political polarization, inequality, and the impacts of the virus. To us, this tune signifies a realization of the need for change and the motivation to take action.

True to SoDown’s sound, the bass-heavy track features sizzling strings, a sexy saxophone, and deep, hypnotic vocals that’ll put you in a trance. The versatile producer has been consistently blessing us with bangers. With all the tunes he’s been dropping lately, we were curious as to what SoDown was really up to. He gave FUXWITHIT the exclusive and said, “I’m working on my debut album, which to me, encompasses so much of what we’ve all been through lately. It represents the importance of living in the moment, the value of our friends and family, and gratitude for the simple things in life. I want to create music that brings people together and gives us all a place where we can feel connected, not only to those around us but to ourselves as well.”
