A scorching slice of percussive Afro-Latin House, ‘Habibi’ sees STBAN collaborate with two stars of the Spanish music scene—DJ and percussionist Javi Torres, and singer and DJ Alba Dreid. The result is a formidable dance floor weapon that masterfully combines the heat and flavor of Arabesque vocals and instrumentation with thundering basslines and relentless, driving rhythms.
A Fusion of Tradition and Modernity
Javi Torres is widely recognized across southern Europe and Latin America for his explosive Afrobeat and Latin Tech sets, performances that are consistently enhanced by live percussion integrated directly into the mix. The Seville-based artist has garnered significant support from some of the biggest names in the electronic music industry, including Martin Garrix, Alok, Jamie Jones, Hugel, Aaron Sevilla, Roger Sanchez, Mëstiza, MichaelBM, Tom & Collins, Novak, Nicky Romero, Paco Osuna, Salvarote Ganacci, and Sammy Porter.
Alba Dreid, who rose to prominence throughout Spain after winning the RTVE program ‘La Bien Cantá,’ brings a unique vocal depth to the project.
