Dennis Rodman hasn’t been feeling Donald Trump’s comments as of late.
Dennis Rodman and Donald Trump are both very controversial figures in their own domains. Of course, Rodman is one of the most colorful characters to ever play in the NBA while Trump is perhaps the most divisive president we have ever seen. Their ideological paths might be completely different but they are both masters when it comes to demanding attention from people.
In light of the recent protests in regards to the police killing of George Floyd, Trump took to Twitter with his “make American great again” slogan. Rodman saw this tweet and immediately clapped back on Twitter saying “MAKE AMERICA SAFE FOR MINORITIES.” Rodman’s statement certainly rings true especially when you consider what is going on in the country right now.
Fans were quick to note that Rodman has a friendship with North Korean Dictator Kim Jong-Un. Despite this friendship, Rodman’s tweet is still extremely valid. Police brutality has become all too common in the United States and it’s clear that people of color are scared of the police’s large presence in their communities.
With Rodman being seen as an ambassador of sorts, perhaps Trump will actually listen to him and try to invoke some change. At this point, anything is better than nothing at all.
