by Boston native Hip Hop artist and songwriter Cakeswagg returns with visuals inspired by the 1920’s for her latest track “Big Plays.” The lyrical rapper who has been nominated and awarded multiple times drops her most impressive music video to date, shot by Clips Films, who did an impressive job at recreating the Jazz Age imagery through various symbols, including consumer culture and mass entertainment.
Beyond cliches and stereotypes, Cakeswagg has managed to bring back the wild and free spirit of the 1920’s through the lens of a modern artist in total tune with her times.
She was previously known for past releases including the debut album Cakeology, Vol. 1, as well as the 6-track EP Candy Cake Season.
One of the most prominent female figures in Boston’s music scene, if not the most prominent, Cakswagg knows no limits to her talents and vision, and is one of the artists heavily influencing and shaping tomorrow’s music culture.
